Our Commitment To Sustainability

Our Commitment To Sustainability

At Cardology we create beautiful keepsake paper products, mainly Pop Up Cards, that are gifts in themselves and are designed to make a lasting impression on those you love the most.  They create happy, precious and tangible moments with your loved ones that is more important in this fast paced digital world we live in.

We absolutely love designing our cards and seeing the amazing testimonials from our customers, it really makes what we do worthwhile.  But being a small family business, we have strong values that we never want to lose sight of, even as we grow.

Whilst we love what we do and the high impact our products have on our customers and their loved ones, we also want ensure that our environmental footprint is as low as it can be.  It doesn’t have to be ‘either or’…it can be both and we welcome this challenge with open arms.

As Cardology grows, so does our commitment to being as sustainable as we can.  For us, this not only means continuous product innovation and pushing the boundaries of ‘what’s possible’ and ‘how to be better’ within our own small team, but we also have to continuously look at our entire supply chain and ensure that all of our suppliers and partners also share this same commitment.

A SMALL BUT MEANINGFUL ACTION

Even though it might sound like a very small action to take, planting a tree has a huge impact.

Trees play a key role in our ecosystems and it’s our responsibility to take action (however small) to create a sustainable future allowing the next generations to inherit a better world.
We believe we can play our part, by actively supporting organisations that are dedicated to fighting climate change and reforesting the world.  And for us, it's important that we enable our customers to be part of that process too.

That is why we are super excited to announce our partnership with Tree Nation, which allows us and our customers, to combat Climate Change by reforestation, creating a sustainable future for us all.

<< We will automatically plant a tree for every customer who spends £35 or more with us >>

WHY PLANT TREES?

Trees benefit us by purifying water, producing oxygen, absorbing harmful gases as well as creating better social conditions for ourselves and other forms of life.
They help combat climate change by acting as ‘Carbon Sinks’, absorbing the equivalent of 2 billion tonnes of CO2 every year (roughly 1/3 of all the CO2 released from the burning of fossil fuels.).
Deforestation enhances climate change by releasing stores of CO2.

DID YOU KNOW?
Roughly 18% of global emissions comes from deforestation

ABOUT TREE NATION

Tree-Nation is the largest reforestation platform, allowing citizens and companies to plant trees all around the world.

They use technology to make tree planting easy. Since their inception in 2006, over 200,000 users and +4000 companies have planted 7 million trees using their platform. They are a non-profit organisation currently offering over 50 reforestation projects. Their mission is to reforest the world and fight climate change, and now you join Cardology and Tree Nation on this journey.

TREE NATIONS MISSION

"Our mission is to reforest the world by planting trees, one of the most efficient solutions to fight Climate Change.

Thanks to our reforestation and conservation projects we help to restore forests, create jobs, support local communities and protect biodiversity.

Through the Tree-Nation platform we aim to bring a technological solution to the problem of Deforestation, responsible of about 17% of all Climate Change emissions.

We want to use technology to make tree planting easy and provide support, advice and solutions to citizens and companies to help them transition towards a sustainable future.

With 85% of all terrestrial species living in tropical forests, whose existences are intrinsically bound to the forests, their habitat, we care to restore and preserve the biodiversity to help avoid a mass extinction."
